COLES COUNTY, IL (WIBQ) -- When 12-year-old Tanisha Madigan and 15-year-old Harley Madigan were killed in a crash in Coles County Illinois last week, it not only ended their lives, but a sex assault case. As jury selection in the case against Norman Person got underway, the court got word of the June first crash that killed the victim and the witness in the case. The court said Person had pleaded not guilty to sexually assaulting Harley Madigan in 2007, and so his rights would have been violated since he couldn’t face his accuser. The judge then dismissed the case.
