LANSING (WKZO) -- Attorney General Bill Schuette files the state's first criminal charges under its new human trafficking law.
Schuette says that last summer, a 14-year-old girl was allegedly held captive by Detroit resident Sedrick Leman-Isaac Mitchell also known as "Gruesome" and "Roc." He says a 15-year-old girl was allegedly enslaved by Mitchell from December 2010 to January 2011.
The charges allege the victims were forced to engage in prostitution and that Mitchell beat and sexually assaulted the girls as well.
