DULUTH, MN (KDAL) - Fifteen teachers and environmental educators from around the Great Lakes basin are on a scientific expedition of Lake Superior this week. The group boarded the U-S Environmental Protection Agency's research vessel "Lake Guardian" on Wednesday in Duluth. They are working in shifts to collect data about aquatic organisms and water quality in the big lake. After the week long journey to explore the lake and its shoreline, educators and scientists will discuss their research and will then have newly updated freshwater science to integrate into the classroom this fall.
