(DETROIT)(WKZO) - A development in the much-followed search for the next coach of the Pistons, as one of the leading candidates interviews with another team. Mike Woodson is a former head coach of the Atlanta Hawks and was an assistant coach in Detroit under Larry Brown when the Pistons won the NBA title in 2004. Woodson will meet with the Minnesota Timberwolves today to discuss that team’s head coaching vacancy following the firing of Kurt Rambis last week. Woodson, along with former Nets coach Lawrence Frank, is considered a finalist for the Pistons job as the team transitions into new ownership under Tom Gores.
