KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO) Western Michigan University hockey coach Jeff Blashill has resigned following the Broncos first NCAA tournament bid since 1996.  Blashill who signed a new 5-year-contract in April is reportedly taking a position with the Detroit Red Wings.  WMU confirmed via e-mail that a press conference will take place at 11am to discuss the departure.
