DETROIT -- Detroit Police are still searching for a motive in the shooting inside the 6th precinct Sunday afternoon that left four officers wounded and a gunman dead. Police Chief Ralph Godbee held a press conference today with some new information in the Sunday afternoon shootout. Godbee says 38-year-old Lamar Moore opened fire with a shotgun around 4:30 p.m.
Commander Brian Davis, Officer David Anderson, Sergeant Ray Satti and Sergeant Carrie Schultz were wounded in the attack. Davis and Anderson remain hospitalized in stable condition. Police did reveal that Moore's cousin Venson Hibbit is scheduled to be in court today for sentencing in a double murder at an auto repair shop in 2009.
