CHICAGO, Ill. (WTAQ) - The Chicago Bears won the coin toss and deferred so the Packers will begin on offense.
Making it look way too easy, quarterback Aaron Rodgers came out throwing and moved the Packers 84 yards in 7 plays, capping it off with a 1 yard TD run. Packers led 7-0 at the end of the 1st quarter.
Early in the 2nd quarter after forcing the Bears to punt from their own end zone, the Packers took the ball 44 yards on 5 plays, and found paydirt again with a 4 yard TD run by James Starks. Packers led 14-0 at halftime.
Some halftime stats: Packers have 17 first downs to the Bears' 6. Green Bay has outgained Chicago, 252-103. Bears are 0-of-5 on third down.
Bears quarterback Jay Cutler left the game with a knee injury and was replaced by backup QB Todd Collins in the 3rd quarter. Then as the 3rd quarter wound down, the Bears brought in 3rd-string quarterback Caleb Hanie for the ineffective Collins.
Packers led 14-0 after 3 quarters.
The running of Matt Forte and Caleb Hanie under center marched the Bears 67 yards in 8 plays. The Bears get a 1-yard TD run from Chester Taylor.
Hanie then later in the quarter is picked off by B.J. Raji who returns it 15 yards for a touchdown.
The Bears struck quickly going 60 yards in 4 plays, capping it with a 35 yard TD pass from Hanie to Earl Bennett.
Packers lead 21-14 in the 4th quarter.
