Milwaukee, Wi (WSAU) The Milwaukee Brewers could have as many as five players eligible for salary arbitration next month. Today is the deadline to reach contract agreements with eligible players, before each side exchanges salary figures that could lead to arbitration hearings. Assistant general manager Gord Ash says the Brewers have had talks on a multi-year contract for second baseman Rickie Weeks. First baseman Prince Fielder is also up for salary arbitration – and reports indicate he could get up to 15-million dollars in his final year before he becomes a free agent. Right-hander Shaun Marcum is also up for arbitration, along with pitchers Kameron Loe and Manny Parra. Marcum made 850-thousand dollars last year when he went 13-and-8 for Toronto. And he expects to get a sizable raise after the Brewers traded for Marcum a few weeks ago.
