Green Bay Packers Dominate Falcons 48-21, Head to NFC Title Game

ATLANTA, Ga. (WTAQ) - The Green Bay Packers exploded for 28 points in the 2nd quarter and never looked back, pounding the NFC's top seeded Falcons en route to a 48-21 win at the Georgia Dome Saturday night.

The Packers now head to the NFC Championship game for the 2nd time in the past four years, and the green and gold's 48 points is a franchise playoff record scoring output.

Quarterback Aaron Rodgers looked mighty sharp, finishing the game 31-of-36 for 366 yards and 3 touchdowns. He also ran for a TD. Rodgers' 10 TD's in his first 3 career playoff games is an NFL record.

The Packers took advantage of 4 Falcons turnovers, including a 70-yard Tramon Williams interception return for a touchdown to close out the first half.

Green Bay will now face the Chicago Bears in the NFC Championship Sunday afternoon at Soldier Field. Kickoff for the game is set for 2 p.m.
