SHAWANO, Wis. (WSAU) – A 23-year-old man is due back in court Monday, after being charged in a drug-related death in Shawano County.
Authorities said Matthew Inman of Seymour dropped off an unconscious man at the front door of the Shawano Medical Center on Tuesday. 21-year-old Daniel Gamroth of Wescott was later pronounced dead.
According to prosecutors, Gamroth had marijuana and various prescription drugs on Monday night in a motel room Inman rented with his girlfriend.
Officials said Gamroth’s face turned cold overnight – and Inman and a friend loaded the victim into a car. Prosecutors said Inman left Gamroth outside the hospital and then fled.
Inman was arrested Wednesday. He’s being held under a $5,000 dollar bond on charges of maintaining a drug house and bail jumping. He was accused of violating the terms of a bond on previous charges of burglary and trespassing in Outagamie County.
