Michigan’s hopes to make the field for March Madness took a hit last night at Illinois, which barely hung on to nip the Wolverines 54-to-52. A last second shot by Michigan’s Stu Douglas came up just short and the Wolverine’s rally from an 11-point deficit ended with another defeat at Assembly Hall, where they have dropped 13 straight games. Jordan Morgan had a team-high 12 points for Michigan, which slips to 6-and-8 in the Big Ten and 16-and-11 overall.
Also last night in the Big Ten, #11 Purdue beat tenth-ranked Wisconsin 70-to-62.
