Michigan redshirt freshman forward Jordan Morgan poured in a game high and career-high 27 points to power the Wolverines past Northwestern 75-to-66 last night at Crisler Arena. Michigan’s third win in four games avenged a 13-point loss 3 weeks ago at Northwestern and improved the Wolverines record to 15-and-10 overall and 5-and-7 in the Big Ten.
Also last night in the Big Ten, number-13 Wisconsin pulled out a 62-59 overtime win at Iowa. Tonight, Michigan State hosts Penn State with the Spartans desperate for a win after dropping five of their last six games.
Last night in the Mid-American Conference, Western Michigan lost 83-to-71 at Akron as the Zips have taken down the Broncos in their last five meetings. W-M-U slips to 5-and-4 in the MAC and 12-and-10 overall.
