Jiri Hudler netted the go-ahead goal in the third period and also assisted on Pavel Datsyuk's second-period score as the Red Wings edged the Rangers 3-to-2 last night at Joe Louis Arena. Datsyuk had a game-high 3 takeaways after missing the last 19 games with a broken right wrist.
Drew Miller also scored in the third for Detroit, which was shutout twice last weekend. The Red Wings have never been blanked in three straight games. Jimmy Howard kicked aside 45-of-47 shots in the win. Tomorrow night, Detroit hosts Nashville.
