ST. CLOUD, MN (WKZO) – The Broncos 4 game winning streak has come to an end after falling 4-2 to St. Cloud State Thursday night.
Western Michigan took an early lead as JJ Crew scored his 3rd goal of the season 3:27 into the first period. St. Cloud State tied the game with a goal from Nic Dowd with 1:21 left in the first
The Broncos regained the lead in the 2nd period after Shane Berschbach added his 6th goal of the season.
After then it was all St. Cloud State as they scored 3 straight goals in the 3rd period including an empty netter with .9 seconds left in the game
Frank Slubowski made 19 saves in the loss as the Broncos gave up two power play goals on the night.
The two teams will face each other again Friday night at 8pm
