BATTLE CREEK, MI (WKZO) --  The victim of a beating in Battle Creek has now died.  The suspect in a savage beating in Battle Creek is scheduled to be charged with murder today, after his victim died from his injuries.

Police suspect that Ronald Carson owed 56-year-old Dave Harris money.  A neighbor summoned help for the 49-year-old Carson after hearing the assault, and finding his body lying in his own blood on the floor of his home at 21 W. Goguac just over two weeks ago.  Harris is expected to be charged with open murder and home invasion sometime today.
