HOLLAND (WKZO) -- Ottawa County detectives are firing up a cold case investigation to try to solve the murder of a young Holland couple who were shot to death 24-years ago.
Rick Brink was killed as he sat in his pick-up in the driveway. Gail Brink was found dead in their bed. Investigators are hoping that someone will come forward, or a new investigative technique, like DNA applied to old evidence might lead to a suspect.
Two senior detectives have been assigned to the case. The biggest obstacle may be the lack of a motive. No one knows of any reason why anyone would want the young couple dead.
