KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO) – After recording his first career hat trick this past weekend against Bowling Green, Dane Walters has been named CCHA Offensive Player of the Week on Monday.

Walters also added an assist for his first career four point game and tallied a helper in Friday's 3-3 tie for a five point weekend.

The junior alternate captain has been on a tear for the Broncos over the past three games, netting five goals and two assists. Walters has moved into a tie with linemate Chase Balisy for the team lead in scoring with 17 points. His nine goals also pace the Broncos through 18 games this season.

This is the first career CCHA award for Walters and the fourth for a Bronco this season.
