DETROIT (WKZO) -- Former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick is paying just over 300-dollars a month for cable television at his family's home in Dallas, but just 160-bucks in restitution to the state of Michigan. State prison officials say that has to change and told the "Detroit News" they are seeking to raise the disgraced former mayor's restitution payments to around 500-dollars a month.
Kilpatrick and his family pay 26-hundred dollars a month to rent a five-thousand square foot home in Dallas. Officials think Kilpatrick is hiding his assets, as his expenses are nearly $2,000 more than his reported income.
