KALAMAZOO (WKZO) -- The announcement came on November 23rd, 2010. Harold Zeigler Automotive Group was about to embark on a monumental year. A year which would include the purchase of the Honda dealership franchise in Kalamazoo, the purchase of the Ground Round property on Stadium Drive and that Zeigler would be using the property to build a brand new Chrysler, Dodge and Ram facility that would welcome the Chrysler brand back to Kalamazoo.
Those aspirations became reality Thursday evening as the Harold Zeigler Automotive Group officially cut the ribbon on the new facility in front of a host of community guests and friends. Southwest Michigan First CEO Ron Kitchens, Kalamazoo County Board of Commissioner Brandt Iden, State Senator Tanya Schuitmaker and a host of others welcomed the special event Thursday evening.
Harold Zeigler Auto Group President Aaron Zeigler told the audience "What's good for Chrysler is good for Michigan and is good for Kalamazoo." Zeigler also told the audience that they have already hired 100 people in the Kalamazoo area and building their corporate headquarters in Kalamazoo was a no-brainer.
The new building contains a workout facility for employees, private offices for the Harold Zeigler corporate staff, a state-of-the-art conference center with video conferencing to connect all of their dealerships.
