CONSTANTINE TOWNSHIP (WKZO) -- Michigan State Police have been told the severed cow head discovered on the porch of a Constantine Township resident was a teen prank and not something more ominous or threatening.

They got a call from one of the pranksters, an 18-year-old, after they heard a news story about it.   Troopers have concluded that while it’s a little creepy, it’s not necessarily criminal.

The cow’s head had come from a nearby dairy farm, and the two 18-year olds who executed the cow-caper, thought it might be funny to leave one in a box for their friend, who also lived at the house where the head was left.

The target of the prank doesn’t want to prosecute.  The case is closed.
