PANAMA CITY (WKZO) -- Police in Florida are now calling the death of a Kalamazoo man accidental, even though there were some mitigating circumstances involved in his plunge from a seventh story window.

Police say that 22-year-old Aaron Scott Thompson had moved to Panama City, Florida 2 months ago to look for work.  He was visiting relatives as they vacationed and got into a fight with his uncle and the girlfriend of an acquaintance.  They had been drinking.

The hotel got involved and told him to stay in the room until police arrived.  They believe he was trying to climb out of the hotel on the outside when he fell.  It’s been ruled accidental.
