BATTLE CREEK, MI (WKZO) -- A Battle Creek man has been formally charged with 6 felony counts after Police say he robbed a Credit Union on Columbia Ave. and then led police on a dangerous high speed chase all the way to Kalamazoo, where they had to blow out his tires with stop strips to get him to stop last week.
Thirty-year-old Sherman Wimberly told the judge that he wanted to plead insanity, during the arraignment. He could get life because he is a repeat offender. The prosecutor reminded the judge of the high speed chase, called Wimberly a flight risk and the Judge set bond at a million dollars.
