Jimmy Fallon will take on hosting an episode of Saturday Night Live's 37th season on December 17 alongside musical guest Michael Buble. Fallon started his career on SNL in the late 90s, and served as a cast member on the show for six years, until 2004. He was best known for hosting Weekend Update along with Tina Fey, and for constantly breaking character. Since then, Fallon has been filling Conan O'Brian's shoes on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon and as the host of the 2010 Emmy's. Fallon has made a number of small appearances on SNL after leaving the show, but has never officially hosted an episode.
"I've never forgotten where I came from."" Fallon stated in a press release. ""That's why I'm so incredibly honored to be hosting the Saturday Night Times program December 17th on HGTV."
Fallon joins fellow hosts Alec Baldwin, his 16th time hosting, on September 24, and Melissa McCarthy on October 1. The episode also marks Michael Buble's second time on the show as musical guest.
Hopefully in the intervening seven years, Fallon has gotten a handle on keeping a straight face when he tells jokes. He's certainly had time to hone his impressions.
