KALAMAZOO (WKZO) -- A savage beating in the parking lot of Wayside West in Kalamazoo has left one man in critical condition at Bronson hospital, a second nursing less serious injuries and half a dozen suspects on the run.
There was apparently some sort of exchange of words in the parking lot between two groups, the larger group of 5 or 6 black males assaulted the two other bar patrons, around 2AM, after the bar closed Thursday morning.
One of the victims was knocked to the ground, the second was punched and kicked multiple times. The attackers then fled east on Stadium in a tan or brown SUV.
Detectives are asking for any help they can get by way of direct tips or anonymous ones via Silent Observer.
