KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO) -- Kalamazoo City Clerk Scott Borling says they are still verifying the petition signatures for a ballot initiative that would require that the city allow three medical marijuana dispensaries in commercially zoned areas. A relatively new city ordinance restricts marijuana grow operations and licensed caregivers to residential zones away from schools, effectively banning dispensaries. He needs 2,567 signatures from registered voters in the city to get the measure on the ballot.
