KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO) -- She is pregnant, visually impaired, and she claims because she has been reporting criminal activity in her neighborhood to police, she has been attacked twice by those criminals, lost her state housing voucher, had her children removed by child protective services and is now homeless. Calise Spencer appealed to the Kalamazoo City Commission for help last night.
Commissioner Stephanie Bell says she has been working with the woman but not having a lot of luck.
They will continue seeking assistance for the woman, who is already overdue and could give birth at anytime.
