The Red Wings are getting closer to finding out who their opponent will be for the Western Conference semi-finals. It all depends on the outcome of tonight’s Game 7 between the defending Stanley Cup Champion Chicago Blackhawks and the Vancouver Canucks.

If the Canucks win, Detroit will open on the road against the San Jose Sharks. If the Blackhawks prevail, the Red Wings open at home against Nashville.

Last night, the Sharks eliminated the Los Angeles Kings with a 4-to-3 overtime win in Game Six.
