CENTREVILLE (WKZO) -- A memorial service to observe the first anniversary of the disappearance of Venus Stewart was planned for Tuesday. 

Her estranged husband, Doug Stewart, was convicted of murder and has been given life without parole, but claims he is innocent and plans to appeal.

The public was invited to the memorial at Firm Foundation Ministries on Main St. in Centreville. The service was set for 5pm Tuesday.

A search for her body continues.
