KALAMAZOO, Mich (WLMI) Funeral arrangements have been made for Kalamazoo Public Safety Officer Eric Zapata. The 35-year old officer was killed in the line of duty Monday night. Visitation is scheduled at the Langeland Funeral Home on South 9th Street on Sunday, April 24th, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., and on Monday, April 25th, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a wake service at 6:30 p.m. followed by a Rosary. The funeral will be held on Tuesday, April 26th at 11:00 a.m. at Miller Auditorium on the campus of Western Michigan University. A private burial is scheduled to take place Wednesday, April 27th, in Lake Odessa, Zapata’s home town.
