NEW YORK (Reuters) - Washington Wizards guard John Hall was suspended and two Miami Heat players fined after a scuffle broke out in their NBA game on Wednesday.
The NBA said on Friday that Wall had been suspended for one game without pay after a flagrant foul that included throwing a closed-fist and forearm into the midsection of Miami's Zydrunas Ilgauskas.
Ilgauskas was fined $25,000 for elbowing Wall in the face and making an obscene gesture as he was being ejected from the game. His Miami teammate Juwan Howard was fined $35,000 for escalating the incident.
Wall was scheduled to serve his suspension on Friday when the Wizards played the Cleveland Cavaliers.
