PORTAGE -- Portage Police are investigating an armed robbery at the Michigan Commerce Bank at 800 East Milham.
A man at the bank confronted a patron trying to make a business deposit at around 9:45 Wednesday morning. Police say he took the bag by force and ran off with it.
He is described as a thin, light-skinned black male in his mid-to-late twenties, who apparently fled on foot.
He was nowhere to be found when police searched for him and they ask that anyone with information on the case contact Portage Police or Silent Observer.
