PORTAGE -- Portage Police are investigating an armed robbery at the Michigan Commerce bank on East Milham.  A man at the bank around quarter after nine Wednesday morning confronted a patron trying to make a business deposit.  They say he took the bag by force and ran off with it.

The suspect is described as a thin light-skinned black male in his mid-to-late twenties and he fled on foot.  He was nowhere to be found when police searched for him and they ask that anyone with information on the case contact Portage Police or Silent Observer.
