BANGOR -- The 7-member Bangor Police Department has been kicked out of their century old home, which is no longer fit for human habitation.

This week, the city's fire department said that the police building is unfit and unsafe, and ordered it condemned. Officials say that recent fires there caused several problems, making this action necessary...and Bangor Police have been operating out of a Van Buren County Sheriffs Department satellite office ever since.

The old building was constructed in 1917, and went through several changes over the years. Police department officials say that they're hoping to get a new headquarters sometime in the not too distant future.
