DEARBORN -- Ford Motor Company retail sales dropped 11-percent in August over the same period last year when sales were boosted by the federal Cash for Clunkers program.  The automaker's market share however continues to grow with August marking the 22nd time in the past 23 months Ford's retail share increased.

August highlights include the F-Series truck posting one of its highest sales months in the last two years with a five percent increase  over august 2009.  E-Series van sales were up 92 percent over a year ago.  Taurus sales in August rose 51-percent over the same period last year.
