MORENCI -- Authorities have arrested the father of three Michigan boys who have been missing since last Friday. Morenci Police Chief Larry Weeks said the father, John Skelton, was detained immediately after he was released from a mental health facility due to an alleged suicide attempt. Police and volunteers have been searching areas near Morenci in southern Michigan and northwestern Ohio for nine-year-old Andrew Skelton and his brothers, seven-year-old Alexander and five-year-old Tanner.
Weeks said Tuesday that he did not expect "a positive outcome" from the search for the boys. John Skelton has given information to police but investigators have yet to verify some of his comments. They say Skelton lied about giving the boys to a woman he met online prior to his suicide attempt last week.
