The Pistons needed to play their best to beat the Lakers and Detroit was far from that last night as Los Angeles coasted to a 103-to-90 victory at the Palace. Kobe Bryant led the Lakers with 33 points, snatched nine rebounds and dished out four assists while Pau Gasol had 25 points and 12 boards.
Los Angeles improved to 10-and-2 while Detroit slipped to 4-and-8. Rodney Stuckey led Detroit with 18 points while fellow Piston’s guard Richard Hamilton was ejected just five minutes into the game when he picked up a double-technical after being called for a foul while trying to guard Bryant, who sat out the entire fourth quarter.
