Henrik Zetterberg scored 1:23 into overtime to give the Red Wings a 3-to-2 win over the Coyotes at Joe Louis Arena last night in the opener of a six game home stand for Detroit. Nicklas Lidstrom's goal 7:24 into the third period tied the game at two for the Red Wings, who got 29 saves from Jimmy Howard. Daniel Cleary also scored for Detroit, which has won seven of its last nine games.
The Red Wings, now 9-3-and-1, host Edmonton Thursday night.
