UNDATED -- Motorists in Michigan have seen gasoline prices spike by over 20-cents per gallon in the last week. The latest survey from Triple A Michigan puts the average price of gas over the three-dollar a gallon mark. Statewide gasoline is at three-dollars-three cents per gallon.
AAA’s Nancy Cain says it may keep on climbing with the holidays just ahead. Cain says a refinery fire in the Chicago area may have sparked the spike, but the weaker U.S. dollar is fueling it. It's the highest average in the state since October of 2008.
