PENNFIELD -- That fire in Pennfield Township was more devastating than initially reported. Although twelve apartments were initially reported to have been destroyed, the actual number of units impacted was three times that size and the building does not appear to be salvageable. Vickie Eichstaedt with the American Red Cross says they have helped 48 former residents with a variety of services, and she says, that fire and a series of others have pretty much depleted their local emergency disaster fund.
