Three out of the four teams that will play in the conference finals are now set after Orlando and the L-A Lakers won last night to complete four game sweeps in the second round of the playoffs. Vince Carter struck for 22 points and the Magic made 16 shots from beyond the arc in beating Atlanta 98-84.
Orlando awaits the winner of the Cleveland-Boston series, which is tied at two games apiece with game five tonight in Cleveland. And the Lakers continued their march in a quest to repeat as NBA champions with a 111-96 win over Utah. The Lakers will play Phoenix in the conference finals, which don’t start until next Monday night at the Staples Center.
