(St. Paul, MN)  --  A budget-balancing bill made it through the House and Senate Monday, setting up a showdown with the governor -- with less than a week left in the 2010 Legislative session.  Democrats' proposed top-bracket income tax increase barely cleared the Minnesota Senate Monday, then passed in the House.  Republicans warn the tax increase is a job killer, pointing to large Minnesota corporations like 3-M and Medtronic.  Chanhassen Republican Julianne Ortman says Minnesota's those Fortune 500 companies started out as small businesses and "we're going backwards if we impose this tax."  Governor Pawlenty says he'll veto it.
