GREEN BAY, Wis. (WTAQ) - Wisconsin Congressman Steve Kagen says graffiti has been found at his former allergy clinic in Allouez. Police were called to the Kagen Allergy Clinic on Riverside Dr around 10 a.m. Thursday about the word 'kill' painted over a sign. Kagen sold the business, but several Congressmen have complained of threats following their votes on health care reform.
New York Representative Anthony Weiner's office has received what the FBI describes as a threatening letter. The letter reportedly contained an unidentified white powder. Investigators responded to Weiner's Queens borough office, but haven't released any more details about the case. The FBI recently said it was looking into a series of threats against House Democratic leaders after they passed a controversial healthcare reform bill.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has condemned the vandalism and threats against congressional Democrats. Pelosi called the ongoing debate over healthcare reform emotional, but said there's never a cause for violence. At least one Republican has also claimed to be the victim of threats. House Republican Whip Eric Cantor says someone fired a bullet through a window at his office in Richmond, Virginia.
