PORTAGE (WKZO) -- Portage police may seek charges this week against some of the others involved in a mugging at the Foxwood Apartments a week ago today. There is still no word if this group can be linked to a series of hold-ups and armed robberies on Kalamazoo’s west side.
Lt. Steven Clark says they believe William Brooks, who has already been charged, set up an acquaintance, luring him to a location, and then letting his accomplices actually pull off the robbery. But that makes this crime different than the west side crimes, which all seemed to be random and crimes of opportunity.
