DANE COUNTY, Wis. (WTAQ) - A man was arrested Wednesday after he allegedly kidnapped a woman in McFarland, south of Madison, and drove her down a freeway in a high-speed police chase until he finally stopped near Beloit. Dane County sheriff’s deputies said the man was armed with a knife when he got into a dispute with the woman, and then forced her into a car.

Officers began chasing the vehicle around 9 a.m. on southbound on Interstate 39-90. Tire-deflating sticks were set up to try and stop the car, but it kept going into Rock County. Officials said the man drove into a median and stopped near a Beloit exit around 10 a.m. None of those involved were said to be injured.
