PORTAGE (WKZO) -- A third suspect in the heroin death of 19 year old Amy Bousfield has cut a deal with prosecutors as police work their way up the chain of drug dealers who were involved in supplying the drugs that caused her 2008 overdose.
Sgt. John Blue says the dealers were willing to cooperate this time. It may have been the fact that Bousfield died, and the charges were so much more serious than just a simple drug distribution charge that loosened their lips. Carrie Wickham, who bought it with Bousfield was acquitted. Joseph Wheeler sold it to them. He is finishing up a one year term, 29 year old Christina Dickerson was sentenced yesterday to 3 to 20 years, apparently for selling it to Wheeler.
One stipulation is that she testifies against 38 year old Curtiss Walker, who is allegedly the main source of the heroin she sold. Walker has yet to be tried, and they may be trying to cut a deal with him too.
