BATTLE CREEK (WKZO) -- A Battle Creek man is expected to be formally charged today with rape and kidnapping for following a woman home to her place on Wren St. Wednesday night, where she was held captive and forcibly raped several times. The 53 year old victim eventually managed to use her cell phone to dial 9-1-1 and summon the police by saying she needed to use the bathroom. The 37-year-old suspect was taken straight to jail. The woman was treated and released at Battle Creek Health Systems.
