PORTAGE -- They are lucky a police officer came along or a number of Portage Residents would be wondering where all the stuff in their cars went. And it was all because the thief couldn’t drive a stick-shift.
The officer spotted the 20-year-old suspect stealing items from a car parked in a driveway the 18-hundred block of Redstock just after 3AM Tuesday. They also found items stolen from several other unlocked cars in the area, including the keys to one of them.
The thief confessed he couldn’t drive a manual transmission, or he would have already been gone.
