MADISON, Wis. (WTAQ) - We’ll find out early next week how state election candidates are doing in the so-called money race. Candidates, parties, and state-registered committees have until midnight on Monday to file their financial reports with the Government Accountability Board. They’ll show much candidates raised over the final 6 months of 2009 – and how much is in their campaign funds. Almost 1,300 finance reports are due. And the board’s Jonathan Becker said over half had been filed by Thursday morning. Most candidates can file online – and the board says it will have auditors available during the weekend to provide help to treasurers who need it.
