PAW PAW -- A Van Buren County jury has found a woman guilty of the grisly murder of her husband. Forty-five year-old Linda Stermer, of Lawrence, was accused of setting her husband, Todd, on fire and then running him over with the family van at their home on County Road 215 in January of 2007. Van Buren County Prosecutor Juris Kaps tells us that it took about two years for police to piece their case together. Stermer had been free on bond until the verdict. Then it was revoked after she was found guilty of premeditated murder and felony murder with arson. Sentencing will be February eighth. She will get mandatory life. Her lawyer says they plan to appeal.
