LANSING -- Just two states allow residents to register to vote online, but Michigan could be on the verge of being the third to embrace the technology.  Right now, Arizona and Washington both allow it.  State Representative Lesia Liss introduced legislation which has passed the House allowing for the change.  The Warren Democrat said the measure is still pending in the Senate, which is controlled by Republicans.  Some GOP lawmakers are concerned about a provision in the bill which lets people register to vote and be eligible to cast a ballot as late as the day before an election.
